Dawn Appleby-Quackenbush has worked in the field of special education for 19 years.  For over 14 years, she was a special education teacher focusing on social emotional learning and functional communication.  Dawn was a behavior specialist with the Regional Special Education-Technical Assistance Support Center, allowing her to work directly with school-aged and preschool programs on implementing positive behavior supports.  She has expertise in providing professional development around social emotional development, behavior and NYS regulations related to Functional Behavioral Assessments, Behavior Interventions and Progress Monitoring.
